More Than Memories: Connect with Colinton’s heritage

Promoting Colinton’s History

Colinton Local History Society primarily exists to build and transmit knowledge about the history of Colinton and districts within its historical parish. The society – driven by the interest and energy of its members – facilitates analysis, communication, and education. It has regular meetings of members and visitors fortnightly during the autumn, winter, and spring months with speakers.

The society supports the documentation and research of Colinton’s local history. It develops relevant archives and makes information readily available to the community through physical access to materials, exhibitions, talks, and displays in libraries, schools, and church halls. Archives currently include publications and research documents, paper maps, films, and over 2500 photographs.
